Leconfield Farms Limited is a 1,200 acre mixed arable and livestock farm on The Leconfield Estates at Petworth.

The Petworth herd of Pedigree Sussex Cattle dates back to at least the eighteenth century when the third Earl of Egremont developed Stag Park, in 1782, as a model farm.  Sheep on the farm include Pedigree Southdown and Black Welsh Mountain breeds.

The current farming system is principally based on livestock, with the pedigree Sussex Cattle herd of about 100 suckler cows and their progeny, and a commercial sheep flock of circa 1,000 ewes for fat lamb production.  The arable enterprise covers about 200 acres

The farm is fully committed to Countryside Stewardship schemes at Stag Park and at Rotherbridge, where there is some 150 acres of floodable river meadow providing summer grazing.

Excellent meat is slaughtered as locally as possible and can be found in local butchers shops.
